again. In my last Inspiration Month post I talked rambled about the inspir­ing nature of col­our. What I didn’t do is men­tion one source of col­our inspir­a­tion:

In their own words: “COLOURlovers is a cre­at­ive com­munity where people from around the world cre­ate and share col­ours, palettes and pat­terns, dis­cuss the latest trends and explore col­our­ful art­icles”.

It sounds a bit strange, maybe, but it’s basic­ally a social net­work based Rich_Teaaround col­ours and pat­terns. So if you look at my pro­file (‘ZenBen’) you’ll see that I’ve cre­ated a couple of pat­terns, a palette (below) and named some col­ours. Named col­ours? Well, a cool fea­ture is that if you’re the first user to use a par­tic­u­lar col­our in a palette or pat­tern then you get to name it. Check out Rich Tea (right)

If you’re lack­ing in inspir­a­tion, look­ing at the latest col­ours or palettes might spark a new idea. They also have a use­ful fea­ture that looks at col­our trends across vari­ous areas. So if you love col­our, why not give it a look?
